VIZ
Install VIZ on your PC by unpacking the installation download immediately below (that's often automatic) and double-clicking on setup.exe then doing the usual installation process.  As far as I can tell it works on all normal XP, Vista, and W7 computers.   Then run VIZ (the installation should put a link pretty high up in your start menu, apologies if that's intrusive, or you can go to your Programs directory and click on visualize.exe itself).  VIZ will start by asking you for a file, you should browse to one of the .diel files you download from this page.  Then pick something to plot from the pulldown, click plot and you should be in business.  VIZ is hopefully self-explanatory and there is no way to do damage so the easiest thing to do is to play with the buttons.  VIZ never alters the original .diel file (or anything else on your computer) and it only saves output files one at a time using an ordinary file browse dialog, so you can't even write a bunch of files by mistake.*

VIZ Version 3.0  June 24, 2010 (4 MB) This version adds support for data from sweep devices. It will also process a double-click on a .diel file, although you have to tell Windows to use it by:
right click on .diel file => Open With => Choose Program => Browse to VIZ in the GADD folder in your Programs folder, generally click "Always use this program"

VIZ Version 2.2  April 27, 2010 (4 MB) This version adds some data manipulation (constants and filtering), a new view (real part vs. imaginary part, Cole-Cole plots), and changes the way output data arrays are saved. Output arrays of data are now appended to a file which you pick, generally speaking, once but which you can add to as many times as you would like. This lets you save the data in the form of text arrays with whatever organizational plan you like.

VIZ Version 2.1  Nov 21, 2009 (4 MB)
